1965 AFL Replay

I will be using Mark Zarb’s set to conduct an AFL replay of the 1965 season.  The replay will consist of 56 regular season games followed by the AFL Championship game. At the time, both leagues were waging a war to acquire the top collegiate talent and the AFL narrowed the talent gap with their draft class.  The AFL landed 19th round steal, Jim Nance, Verlon Biggs,  Otis Taylor, Fred Biletnikoff, and Joe Namath to name a few.

I will be providing a comprehensive historical narrative for each game with the desire to either bring back memories or to educate individuals such as myself who were too young to remember this season.

I will be employing all innovations and techniques as documented in my “Method of Play” presentation.
