Second string quarterback, Daryle Lamonica, pinpointed Charley Ferguson in the end zone on the following play with a 30-yard pass to put the Bills ahead to stay 10-7. George Saimes scooped up a Pete Beathard fumble later in the period and carried 18 yards for another to make it 17-7. Pete Gogolak kicked three pointers from 13 and 34 yards to complete the scoring.
