I will be replaying the 2024 NFL season with the recently released card set sold by APBA. The replay will consist of 272 regular season games and twelve playoff games including Super Bowl LIX.
The 2024 NFL season was the 105th season of the National Football League (NFL). The season began on September 5, 2024, with reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City defeating Baltimore in the NFL Kickoff Game. The regular season concluded on January 5, 2025. The playoffs started on January 11 and concluded with Philadelphia defeating Kansas City in Super Bowl LIX, the league’s championship game, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 9. merger.
No position was affected by free agency more than running back. Saquon Barkley (New York Giants to Philadelphia) rushed for 2,005 yards, Derrick Henry (Tennessee to Baltimore) rushed for 1,921 yards, Josh Jacobs (Las Vegas to Green Bay) rushed for 1,329 yards, Aaron Jones (Green Bay to Minnesota) rushed for 1,138 yards, and Tony Pollard (Dallas to Tennessee) rushed for 1,079 yards.
There were eleven quarterbacks who finished the season with a rating higher than 100 points. Lamar Jackson won the passing crown with a 119.6 rating. Joe Burrow had the most scoring passes with 43 and passing yards with 4,918. Rookie sensation, Jayden Daniels, finished with a 101.1 efficiency rating.
Talking about my Jets, they entered the season with high hopes but their head coach, Robert Saleh, was fired after the fifth game and the season just spiraled out of control. They lost seven one-score games and were projected to win seven games. Aaron Rodgers passed for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns to eleven interceptions and the Jets had a top three defense. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them exceed their actual record of 5-12-0.
