San Diego vs Boston

Actual: Boston’s Babe Parilli, 35, engineered the biggest upset of the American Football League season, taking the Patriots to a 22-6 victory, their first of the season, over the previously undefeated San Diego Chargers.  With knowledge and cunning gained in nearly 12 years of pro football, Parelli picked apart the vaunted Charger defense, completing seven passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Both those TD strikes were caught by Gino Cappelletti.  Cappelletti also kicked two field goals and both extra points.  The Boston defense manhandled a Charger offensive unit that Pat coach Mike Holovak had once referred to as the league’s best. A blitzing Boston line threw John Hadl for a loss of 69 yards.
