Hey Dan, I was looking at some of my 1981 cards today and I noticed Vince Thompson on DET has a 66-3 and an 11-6 in his R column. How do you use him, inside or outside? And do you feel burned if you roll 66 on Inside runs or 11 on outside? Or does my card have a typo? Joe
Joe, I have treated Thompson as an all purpose back but I looked a little more closely and his card is a bit better on outside runs. I’ve noticed a couple other oddities like that in the 1981 set. Tony Nathan has a 4 and a 6 in his R-column. But he is still slightly better outside than inside by my reckoning. Maybe they just threw those odd results in to get the average just right?
