Boyd’s 1997 NFL Replay – Game 64 – Chicago at Dallas

Cowboys Tame the Bears!

The Dallas Cowboys improved to 3-1 on the season as they dismantled the Chicago Bears. Usually, the Cowboys dominate on the ground, but this year they have relied on the arm of QB Troy Aikman. On Sunday in front of a sold-out Texas Stadium, Aikman threw for 269 yards and 3 TDs in the Cowboys’ 24-7 rout of the Bears. WR Michael Irvin caught 9 passes for 131 yards and 2 TDs. On the Bears side, they got horrible QB play from Rick Mirer and Eric Kramer. They combined for only 117 yards passing and Kramer threw 2 INTs. The Bears are now 1-3 on the season and will face the surprising Saints next Sunday. The Cowboys will travel to New Jersey to take on the arch-rival Giants.
