Steelers stay undefeated with divisional win
Kordell “Slash” Stewart continues to be one of the most dynamic players in the NFL. He electrified Baltimore Memorial Stadium as the Steelers defeated the Ravens 38-24 on Sunday afternoon.
The Steelers didn’t waste any time as Will Blackwell returned the opening kickoff 100 yards to give the Steelers a 7-0 lead. Then a few minutes later, Stewart scrambled 36 yards for another score to give the Steelers a 14-0 lead with only 4:30 minutes off the 1st quarter clock.
Late in the game, Darren Perry picked off Vinny Testaverde and dove into the end zone to shut the door on the Ravens.
All totaled, Stewart threw for 160 yards and 2 TDs and ran for 43 yards and scored another TD. RB Jerome Bettis plowed through the Ravens defense for 108 yards. The Steelers will take their undefeated 5-0 record home and will face the Colts on Sunday Night Football next week.
Vinny Testaverde threw 50 times in the game for 284 yards and a TD. The Ravens will take their 3-3 record into next week’s bye.
