Moon hits a big shot to take down the Oilers
Warren Moon found his way out of Minnesota, and he is making an impact in the Pacific Northwest with the Seahawks. Moon and the Seahawks are now 3-3 in the tough AFC West as the Seahawks knocked off the Tennessee Oilers Sunday afternoon in the Kingdome.
Moon was without his top running back Chris Warren and his top target in Joe Galloway; however, he was able to find WR Mike Pritchard wide-open deep in the Oiler secondary and he hit him for a 74-yard bomb that put the game away, 23-13.
Moon threw for 280 yards and a TD. RB Lamar Smith replaced Warren and rushed for 66 yards and a TD.
The Seahawk defense held Oiler RB Eddie George to just 51 yards rushing and held the Oiler team to just 140 yards rushing. The D also recovered 3 Oiler fumbles and picked off Steve McNair once to seal the deal.
The Seahawks will go into their bye at 3-3, while the Oilers (2-3) will go home next week to face the Bengals.
