APBA Football Master Game (Goal Line Defense)

This is the first of four videos addressing the defensive side of the ball.  This video introduces the Goal Line defense.  A Goal Line defense can be called anywhere on the field but limits the defensive coach to either S or G alignment.  Discussed line changes and risks associated with the Goal Line defense.  I did not mention this in the video but the Goal Line defense offsets the line changes associated with a 2TE set or Full House backfield.

APBA Football Master Game (3 WR Set)

Discuss how to insert a third wide receiver into the game to improve your passing attack and which Position Designator Codes can be removed. Demonstrate going from Pro Set to a 3 WR set.  Discuss the line changes associated with a called pass or run play from this formation.  Also, discussed which play results would not result in a line change.

APBA Football Master Game (2TE Set & Full House Backfield)

Discussed which position designator codes are affected by a 2TE set or Full House backfield.  Explained line changes associated with these personnel packages for the run and pass. Note: I did not mention that on a called pass play (except a screen pass) that you do not do a line change when the play result is a 13 or 21 through 36 on the QB’s card.  Don’t include 13 in counting lines (if your card number is 11, drop to 14). If your line change would take you through 21, use 21 for the result.

APBA Football Master Game (V-Ratings)

This video discusses the Offensive Index Refinement of the split ratings or “V” ratings. Review Master Game score sheet and look at the POS column which would be used with the Basic game and the V columns which is a Master game feature.  Explain the differences between pass/run ratings and how to properly annotate the score sheet.
