This is the first of four videos addressing the defensive side of the ball.  This video introduces the Goal Line defense.  A Goal Line defense can be called anywhere on the field but limits the defensive coach to either S or G alignment.  Discussed line changes and risks associated with the Goal Line defense.  I did not mention this in the video but the Goal Line defense offsets the line changes associated with a 2TE set or Full House backfield.

Discuss how to insert a third wide receiver into the game to improve your passing attack and which Position Designator Codes can be removed. Demonstrate going from Pro Set to a 3 WR set.  Discuss the line changes associated with a called pass or run play from this formation.  Also, discussed which play results would not result in a line change.

Discussed which position designator codes are affected by a 2TE set or Full House backfield.  Explained line changes associated with these personnel packages for the run and pass. Note: I did not mention that on a called pass play (except a screen pass) that you do not do a line change when the play result is a 13 or 21 through 36 on the QB’s card.  Don’t include 13 in counting lines (if your card number is 11, drop to 14). If your line change would take you through 21, use 21 for the result.

Discuss timeouts, Two-Minute warning and another time-conserving option.

A nice feature of the Master game that prevents a safety or possible fumble. Also, captures a QB “taking a knee” late in a half or end of game.

Introduced inserting a “fifth defensive back” to better defend the pass. Discussed the “reduction” rule on a pass play and actions associated with a called run play or screen pass against the nickel package. Also covered the impact of a receiver with an asterisk.

This is the final video associated with the Locator Columns. I provide a quick demonstration of the mechanics of actually using the Locator Columns. Note: The receiver or defensive player for the interception/sack that is identified MUST be in the game. If not, you must continue to roll until one is selected.
